Our story

Matera was initially founded by Sam Huber, CEO of Landvault, and his executive team, as the web3 layer to power the economy of their metaverse - before extending to all creators.

In 2023, Matera was spun off from Landvault as a separate foundation based in the Cayman Islands, and a dedicated team.

Since 2018, Landvault has helped over 300 brands and clients navigate the new digital realm, from gaming to the metaverse, and now web3. As a close partner, Matera has direct access to these brands.

Additionally Landvault has raised over $37m in equity funding, and serving various government entities across UAE, Saudi, and Qatar. As a founding partner, Landvault is integrating Matera to power the economy of their government metaverse projects, which will give Matera exposure to a totally new audience of creators.
